Queens of Drama is a scripted reality show, following former daytime and primetime soap stars as they form a production company and create their own television show. This series stars Lindsay Hartley, Crystal Hunt, Vanessa Marcil, Chrystee Pharris, Hunter Tylo, and Donna Mills.
Lindsay Hartley is both an actress and a singer. She was born in Palm Springs, California, and was raised in San Diego. Hartley was a national pre-teen talent winner of the Young Miss America Beauty Pageant, and received a role in the Broadway production of Grease at age eighteen.
In 1999, Hartley received the role of Theresa Lopez-Fitzgerald on the NBC soap opera “Passions.” In the year 2000, she was nominated for the Soap Opera Digest Award for Outstanding Female Newcomer. In July of 2009, Soap Opera Digest announced that Hartley would join the cast of Days of Our Lives. She was let go from the show in 2010.

She is best known for her role as Lizzie Spaulding, the daughter of the troubled couple Philip and Beth Raines, on the CBS soap opera “Guiding Light.” Hunt played the role of Lizzie from 2003 to 2006. She received a Daytime Emmy Award nomination in 2005 for Outstanding Younger Actress in a Drama Series. Crystal’s acting reel shows that nomination was well deserved.

Vanessa Marcil has been a very popular soap actress since her famous role in General Hospital. She received many award nominations in 1997-2003 for her role, and won Outstanding Supporting Actress in 2003. Marcil has starred in fourteen television shows, and six movies.
Chrystee Pharris is an actress best known for her role as Simone Russell on the NBC soap opera, “Passions.” She was born in Middletown, Ohio and attended Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts. In 1990’s, she appeared on television sitcoms such as The Steve Harvey Show, and Moesha.
Pharris began her role on “Passions” in 2001. Pharris left Passions in 2004 in order to be able to pursue different avenues in her career.
Hunter Tylo has been acting in soaps since 1989. She was cast as Marina Toscano on “Days of Our Lives.” The character was killed off and Tylo left the series in 1990. She since has made appearances in other shows, such as All My Children, The Bold and the Beautiful, and Baywatch.
Donna Mills is an actress and producer. She began her soap career in 1966 with her role on “The Secret Storm.” But is most famous for her character Abby Cunningham on the long-running soap opera Knots Landing.
